MORE than expected! Always wanted to go sturgeon fishing but wasn’t sold on the odds of catching one! Why didn’t wait. The Fraser is full of sturgeon. We had action all day long, and Steve from Sturgeonhunter.com knew his stufff.Going out we hoped to catch a couple ….. we sure did…. We all caught fish and a couple once in a lifetime fish 9’8” and a 7’10”.Don’t wait…. get out there. Steve’s boat is set up way , way better than the others out there. Lots of space , front is covered and heated. Thanks Steve, it was a dream come true.

Bucket List This is a trip of a lifetime. If you have never sturgeon fished this should be put on your bucket list. The guides are fabulous and put you onto some monsters, 9ft 6" was our biggest. I take customers from all over Canada and there is nothing like seeing their smiling faces and comments when the sturgeon breaks water. We will continue with Sturgeon Hunter in the future as all the staff get you all the information required for a great trip. We will be back

Core memories made!!! This was an amazing experience for the whole family! We fished for two days and caught 7 fish 5ft to 7’8 our guide Steve was so great about showing the fish and teaching us all about them. Our 10yr old daughter was so excited to see touch and even feel the inside of the Dinosaurs mouth! Reeling these big fish in will be a core memory for the boys. Highly recommend!

Five Stars My son and I had a fantastic experience with Sturgeon Hunter. Nicole's help in getting our reservation and lodging set up, and Rod's super-experienced, patient, and entertaining guidance made for one of the best days of the year. The sturgeon weren't biting a lot but we caught three of them that made it all worthwhile: a five-footer, a 7'4" 200-pounder, and a 8'3" 300-pounder that made my son's dream come true of catching a big one. When we got in the water with the two large ones after we landed them they were just beautiful up close. Incredible animals. Five stars for Rod, Nicole, and Sturgeon Hunter.

Perfect experience had by a family of 5! Steve made sure we all caught fish! Our guide was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We caught 4 fish and guide was amazing at setting us up quickly for the best pictures. Scenery was beautiful with eagles, seals, wild flowers and mountains all around. The fish we caught were a good size and made our friends jealous!

Great location, great guide, great sturgeon fishing What a blast! Our guide was Steve and he did a fantastic job getting on the sturgeon. He is a wealth of knowledge. My wife and I landed 6 sturgeon and had another 2 on the line. Steve used his sonar and side imaging to find the sturgeon, to make sure they were there prior to fishing the spot. We could see multiple fish prior to each anchor spot. Each spot we caught atleast one or more sturgeon. Steve has a great fishing boat too. There is lots of room in the back to switch sides to reel in the dinosaurs. It made it very easy. Nicole in the office did a fantastic job organizing the trip with me. She was able to answer all my questions in a very timely manner. After fishing with Steve we learned alot about sturgeon and want to come back soon. The Sturegeon Hunter is the outfitter to go with for Sturgeon on the Fraser River. We hope to be back soon.

Bucket list fishing at its best We booked an 8 hour Sturgen trip and were guided by Rod. Nicole from the office was helpful all the way through and communicated with us really well to make things easy. On the day we met Rod at the boat launch and he was great from start to finish. His knowledge of the river showed all day with not only knowing where to find fish but when to move on even if there are fish there that aren’t taking the bait. This was highlighted after an hour or so when after searching around and finding fish he waited until the we found right conditions and hooked the fish of a lifetime. Would 100% recommend Sturgeon hunter to anyone looking to catch sturgeon on the Fraser River. On a personal note, Rod was a great guy to be around, was informative and really made the day for us.

Unreal fishing adventure - catch sturgeon monsters until you drop. Fantastic trip. Sturgeon Fishing guides was awesome to deal with when booking the trip, and also accommodating to our groups requests. Nicole at Sturgeon was proactive and informative while booking, All information we needed to have a great weekend on the water was clearly communicated ahead of time. Rod was a phenomenal guide out on the water. It would be nearly impossible not to catch a monster with Rod at the helm of his jet boat. Rod is super personable, and made the trip all the more worth while outside of catching massive sturgeon. For two days straight our group wailed on sturgeons and made some great memories.

Solo Fishing Trip April 14 Had a great time out on the water with Kyle. The morning started slow with just a few bites, but Kyle was diligent switching out the bait and moving to 3 or 4 different spots up and down the river to find the fish that wanted to commit. When we did find a good location the hits kept coming and we pulled in 4 in a row. Arms were completely fried by the last one and Kyle was great pulling up anchor and following the fish down river without letting slack get in the line. We got 1 more bonus fish at the buzzer, total count at 7 hooked and 5 landed (one just shy of 7'). All in all a fantastic day on the water, great boat and great weather. I have no doubt Kyle would be a excellent guide even on a tougher day.

Amazing Day. My son went with his cousins and friends and had an amazing day. They each caught a sturgeon! Steve was a great guide and didn't mind taking four teenage boys. Unforgettable trip for them all. Thank you!

ALWAYS a fantastic time and huge fish !!!! I've been fishing for sturgeon since 2020, I must say it's an amazing experience. I usualy make it 2-3 times a year on Fraser River. I tried a few other fishing charters, all good, but once with Steve and Sturgeon Hunter I never looked anywhere else. Great time every time, Steve is very knowledgeable and guides you through all the steps to land a big sturgeons. We love his system of targeting big fish. I always thought a 6-7ft sturgeon is huge. But every time out with him, our expectations and later results are in the 8 and 9ft. Try to book multiple days on the water, each day is different. We usually go 2-3 days every run. Can't wait for the next one 💪💪💪🐋🐋🐋

Incredible Fishing Trip Steve with Sturgeon Hunter was simply AWESOME! Very professional and friendly, but most importantly; put us on FISH! We caught 5 sturgeon up to 68" and lost one close to 8' at the end of the day. The boats were perfect and we had just an incredible time. Communication with Nicole was outstanding as well. Fishing for dinosaurs! Pack your lunch, rain gear and sense of adventure! Fishing for sturgeon is a blast. The fish fight hard, jump and have powerful head shakes. Sturgeon Hunter has many years of experience on the river and knows these fish.

A bucket list wish come true I had been sturgeon fishing many years ago and had enjoyed it immensely. I wanted my lady friend and her son to also experience it as well. I had hoped that perhaps we could all get a sturgeon! Wow, by lunchtime we had hooked 16 sturgeon and had a lot of great pictures. I didn't think it could get any better........until we got a double header of big sturgeon. Our guide (Rod) was not thrilled with this as we risked getting tangled and losing them both. However after a long exciting fight we managed to get both of them. What an end to an already wonderful day. Awesome Fishing Experience for Grandpa, Sons, and Grandsons We contacted Steve initially because he has a boat that can take a party of 6. We had no idea how friendly, knowledgeable, and professional he was! We anchored and had a sturgeon on before he’d even finished his debrief. Our group ended up with 3 sturgeon including an 8’3” monster that fought for over an hour. We will 100% book with StugeonHunter again.

Exceptional service Our day of fishing with our guide Dan was a fantastic day. Full of great memories, informative of the area and plenty of catches leaving us well played out by the end of the day. Sturgeon 2020 Amazing fishing experience! This was my second trip in two months. Easy to book and guides were great.

Trip of a Lifetime Trip of a lifetime. Couldn't have written up our day any better than it unfolded. Three guys on the last day of a one week salmon fishing trip. We decided to cap it off with sturgeon fishing. Started out the morning with 5 quick sturgeon ranging from 4 to 6 feet. Things started to slow down so we moved to another spot. Bang! Another 6 footer. At this point each guy had 2 turns on the rod. As the day started to come to a close, we hit one last fish.... Last fish was +9 feet. Took all 3 guys, taking shifts on the rod for 45 minutes. Our arms were ready to fall off the hurt so bad. If we weren't laughing so hard, we would have been crying. Perfect end to a perfect day.

We had a great fishing trip with 2 boats, 5 adults and 4 kids. We caught 12-15 fish per boat over the course of a 1 day trip. Was great to have the 2 boats with # generations of our family all on the river close by in case one of us hooked into a big enough fish to warrant the whole family coming ashore.We caught several fish close to 6ft, and saw 2 other boats catch substantially much larger fish within 100 yards of our boat. Was amazing to see the 9+ foot fish on shore and some very happy anglers.We were beyond impressed with the entire team from Nicole to the guides from start to finish. We look forward to booking another trip as a family.Thanks again for a truly special trip and some amazing fishing.

We visited Chilliwack and had the pleasure of being guided by Steve on Good Friday. He was very knowledgeable and obviously knows what he’s doing - we didn’t catch any true monster fish but caught quite a few significantly large ones. Spent the day on the Fraser with Danny, super knowledgeable guide that was great to spend the day with. It was a slower day however we managed to hook into a couple big Sturgeon. This one was a couple inches shy of 9 feet.

This year was my second trip with Steve and as with the first my group of 5 had an incredible experience. 12 sturgeon landed with an absolute monster hooked up that ended up getting away as well. We will definitely be back to land the big one next year!

We booked a once in a life time fishing excursion, with Sturgeon Hunters, proprietor Steve Kaye, for September 09/24. All the details were handled by office manager, Nicole, in a very prompt and professional manner. We met Danny, our fishing guide and boat operator on the shore of the Fraser, at Chilliwack at 8.00 a.m. I must say, Danny knows his boat, knows the river and knows the fish. After a few hours the rod bent down, and Danny says, "This is a big one, watch, watch, he's going to jump." Well sure enough that monster exploded straight up out of the water. The tape measure said 8ft 4in. long. My only regrets, we didn't get a video of that memorable sight. Would I recommend Sturgeon Hunters to anyone else ?? You bet I would and I already have done that.

We always thought a trip like this was just “Fishful Thinking” .. 🎣 Targeting big fish like the Pacific White Sturgeon was a bucket list trip for us!Steve Kaye from Sturgeon Hunter has got to be the most knowledgeable guide on the Fraser River and he put us on the fish!These river monsters are more like dinosaurs than fish. They fight hard, jump and have the most powerful head shakes.We caught three sturgeons and had many, many other nibbles. The fish took over 30 minutes of fighting and reeling. It was 90 inches long (7ft 6inches) and estimated weight of 240lbs. Steve knew exactly when to move spots. The second fish was caught in a super fast current (so much that Steve had to keep the motors running with the anchor). It was 84inches long (7ft on the nose) and estimated just under 200 pounds.Then at 3pm, Steve says we will give it 5 more minutes before we bring the rods in and pull the anchor … and Boom 💥 Fish On! … and not just any fish! This Hallmark fish was 102 inches and estimated 350 pounds (8 ft 5 inches). Definitely a different fight than the other two having an additional 100 pounds.Sturgeon fishing is indescribable. Words cannot properly explain the feeling or the power of these fish. Most people are lucky to catch the first level of big fish (5ft) and maybe only one in a day… we caught 3 monsters! We are so grateful to Steve for this amazing day on the river and would highly recommend #thesturgeonhunter for anyone considering this trip.Also big kudos to Nicole, the office manager, who was amazing at communicating and organizing our trip down to the last details.(where to get fishing licenses, what to bring, etc) She was even super helpful with suggestions of other things to see and do in the Chilliwack area!

Our family had the best time with our guide Jacob. Our expectations were beyond met with the experience of catching multiple sturgeon, including a big one. Jacob was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. A great day on the water, we will definitely be back.

Had an awesome two days fishing with sturgeon hunters! Jacob and Dan put us on the big fish and both exceeded our expectations. Both very knowledgeable and good company.

Our charter was a single day in mid August for a birthday gift. We went as a family of 4. Booking was easy and our guide met us in the morning at the hotel. Communication up to the day of the charter was great including concerns about the tributary mud slide impacting our charter from the owner and his staff.Our guide was Rod. Very friendly individual and very knowledgeable. We had a bit of trouble getting a sturgeon on a hook but not for lack of their presence, they just weren't hitting hard enough to get a hook set. We were into fish consistently throughout the day but did not get one on the hook until the 11th hour. Our guide remained positive throughout and had more than enough locations to keep us on fresh hits. We got 2 sturgeon in the end, right at the end of the day and Rod kept us on the water for a little extra time and got us that 2nd fish. He worked hard for us and it showed. He had good stories and meshed well with our family.We would all fish with Sturgeon Hunter and Rod again without hesitation. It was absolutely worth coordinating flights to get us all into Chilliwack for the experience and I would do so again in a heart beat. Sturgeon Hunter was a recommendation from a coworker in Saskatchewan and I will be returning to Saskatchewan and recommending them to anyone who wants to fish the Fraser for sturgeon.

I booked 4 days fishing, 2 days, a 1 day break and then another 2 days. Unfortunately there was a 700m wide landslide blocking a major upstream side river. This damed and subsequently "burst" causing a major change in flow and debris which necessitated the cancellation of the middle 3 days. Sturgeon Hunter were very professional and were willing to immediately refund in full. Fortunately I was able to extend my stay and rearrange the days. As it happens, the increased river flow and colour turned the fish on and proved to be highly beneficial. I landed 21 Sturgeon over the 4 days, the largest at 8 foot 7 inches and 3 others over 7 feet and numerous >6ft. I recommend that you do not do more than 2 consecutive days, the power and fight of these fish really takes it's toll on your arms, you'll be thankful of a days recuperation before tackling extra days. I'm fit and able, a runner and not at all overweight but they took me to my limits when we had 12 takes in one day!! The fight can last for well over 1 hour for the larger fish and 30-45 minutes for the 6 footers.

Booked a 2 day trip and was not disappointed with my experience. We caught 5 fish any where from 6 to 8 feet. Had a blast and Steve is good at what he does. Would highly recommend and go again in a heartbeat.

As an avid fisherman....I was very excited about going on this charter....the comment about dirty boots at the start of the charter was unwarranted....we fished the same half mile of the river all day.....returning to spots that we'd already been to...without any luck each time......it honestly seemed like they didn't want to burn any fuel....at one pont we fished for 45 minutes in 7 feet of water.....that won't ever catch the size of fish we're chartering for....ended the day with 1 5ft. fish.....Grant was nice enough during the day....but not willing to chase fish.....top dollar paid for the charter.....probably gonna try another company next time

It was a great day out on the river. The fish weren't super cooperative this time, but Dan threw everything he had at them and still managed to get us into 4 fish. Everything is super easy when dealing with the Sturgeon hunter staff. Would definitely recommend them.

We booked an 8hr Sturgeon trip and booking process was great, communication with Nicole in the office was really easy. We were looking to book on fairly short notice and they fit us in. Our guide Jacob was fantastic, very personable and extremely knowledgeable. We ended up catching 7 Sturgeon during the day and all 4 us had the trip of a lifetime, would definitely recommend Sturgeon Hunter, we will hopefully be able to book another trip soon and will be requesting Jacob as our guide if he is available, so we can catch the big one that eluded us this time. Thank you all at Sturgeon Hunters so much and to a special thanks to Jacob for making this an experience we will remember fondly for years to come.

Family spent the week with rod! Can’t say enough good things about our trip and guide! He’s super fun to be around for us on huge fish we didn’t expect to catch even half the size we got!!! Well worth the trip would recommend to take several days and ask for ROD! Best guide/tour I’ve ever had! He got us several over 7 foot and we landed this beast! 8 foot 6 inches!!!!

I've been fishing for sturgeon since 2020, I must say it's an amazing experience. I usualy make it 2-3 times a year on Fraser River. I tried a few other fishing charters, all good, but once with Steve and Sturgeon Hunter I never looked anywhere else. Great time every time, Steve is very knowledgeable and guides you through all the steps to land a big sturgeons. We love his system of targeting big fish. I always thought a 6-7ft sturgeon is huge. But every time out with him, our expectations and later results are in the 8 and 9ft. Last day 11 sturgeons, action non-stop 😁 Try to book multiple days on the water, each day is different. We usually go 2-3 days every run. Can't wait for the next one 💪💪💪🐋🐋🐋

Myself and my crew headed out Nov 17th with guide Steve, and within 15 min of dropping anchor we were hooked up with a 92” beauty that peeled most of the line off the reel forcing us to chase down stream. 40 min later it was landed and wow what a way to start the day! Steve is professional but also a lot of fun! we will be coming back!

We booked 2 days in hopes of catching a "decent" sturgeon. 1st day may have been considered slow, but our guide Rod was really grinding to catch fish. We landed 2 nice fish, the second day with Rod was awesome, as each member of our party landed multiple fish. Each of us were able to land a fish over 7.5ft long! Final fish was probably close to 400 lbs! Hope to get back for a 3rd time if it works out.

My buddy and I had 2 wonderful days of fishing with Sturgeon Hunter and their guide Rod. We were on fish the entire 2 days. Nicole in the office was great to book with taking care of everything including our hotel. I can’t thank them enough. That’s one off the bucket list.

Steve took our group of 5 ladies out yesterday. Had an amazing time. Got two sturgeon to the boat for pictures. What a great experience. Steve is super knowledgeable and we tried 4-5 different spots on the river. We will be back again !

My wife and I took a trip with them this past week. It was a good time. Caught fish and had a blast. Kyle was our guide and was very professional and knowledgeable.

Did a day trip with Steve S and were rewarded with two amazing fish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and great with our kids. We had an absolute blast and would highly recommend booking with this outfit. For our 11 year old to want to go and do it again instead of playing a video game really says something. We give it 10 stars.

As a UK angler I knew sturgeon fishing in the Fraser River was my best chance of beating my longstanding freshwater PB (a 154lb catfish from Spain’s River Ebro). I booked 3 days with Sturgeonhunter. Day one produced a 7ft 8in sturgeon (c.250lb) so that was mission accomplished! Days two and three produced even bigger fish culminating in a 9ft 1in beast (c.400lb) that took 1.5 hours to land! The size and acrobatic nature of these fish is simply incredible (they all jump multiple times) - this is true big game fishing. I had a different guide each day - owner Steve, then Grant, and Rod - all very knowledgable, well equipped, and entertaining. Kata was very helpful, arranging my accommodation. Highly recommended for any serious angler! I hope to return.

What a great experience! From Kata in the office to the two Steve's that took us out! We had 2 boats going for a friend's stag and it was my favorite part of the weekend by far! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can't say enough good things. Thanks again!
